Since 2006, I have been an active volunteer, donor, foster and adoptive home with this amazing rehabilitation center. Dogs with physical and/or behavioral challenges are consistently worked with and adopted into loving forever homes. Basset Rescue Network provides a wonderful service to not only their local community, but to all rescue groups around the globe who look to them as an example of how a successful, well run rescue operates on a daily basis. An A+ organization!

Basset Rescue Network, Inc. at Daphneyland has been serving the community for more than ten years. Having the only kennel facility for basset hounds, it is uniquely qualified for socialization and rehabilitation. A leader in education and youth programs, Basset Rescue Network affects the lives of humans and hounds alike. This is a worthwhile organization with a positive impact that extends far beyond the care and adoption of basset hounds

Close to 80% of all donated money is used for personal use, bills, as well as for paid employees, who take care of the dogs and kennel and one of them is also paid to clean the house as well. The animals see very little of the donations. Most fundraising on different sites state a specific use for the money ie: a dog needs surgery (which rarely the dog gets as it heals on its own)or cancer dogs need special medicine, but the money is used instead used for over due electric or gas bills for the kennel and personal residence, vacation trips. It is printed that they are an all a volunteer organization, but the truth is they have several paid employees. A sole person who lives on the property rent free is the President of the rescue as well as President of the boarding facility Daphneyland LLC, the rescue pays rent to the boarding facility. Who then pays the owner of the property who is the father of the President of both organizations, and he lives their free as well. The non profit rescue also pays him to make repairs on the property he owns and they also buy all of the supplies needed to make repairs to the property. What a scam. They live there for free the rescue pays for everything. I have seen posts of dogs being sick and then passing away during the evening or over night and none were immediately taken to a vet for help, instead it was posted that we gave them this pill and this injection and watched them,,,,, What about a Vet, to what what was really wrong.
