Causes: Food, Food, Agriculture & Nutrition, Home Economics
Mission: "We teach everyday people to be the chef of their own home." We offer coaching and teach culinary skills to all. We are currently raising funds to open a commercial production kitchen which we will rent to food cottage business start-ups, individuals, families, and groups wanting to use a larger kitchen with proper food handling and safety. Along with that we will have an old fashioned family ice cream and soda shop!
Results: We have helped business food cottage start-ups, worked with our local food bank, and hosted "Chef at the market" at the Farmers' Market in Nampa Idaho
Target demographics: Individuals, families, groups and small culinary start-ups
Direct beneficiaries per year: 5 business start-ups, over 600 visitors and students to our local market
Geographic areas served: Treasure Valley, Idaho
Programs: in-home culinary classes, and soon to add a location for classes and a large production kitchen for coaching and rental
