my husband and I have volunteered at the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse for 5 years. It is undoubtably our favorite volunteer position! The museum has extensive permanent displays of the history of Boca Grande, a hands on room for children to touch various shells and sea creature and a well stocked gift shop-all housed in the 100+ year old lighthouse with the most gorgeous views of Boca Grande Pass, the Gulf of Mexico, Charlotte Harbour and Cayo Costa State Park. Not to mention the beautiful white sand beaches loaded with shells! The management of the society and the staff are so appreciative of their volunteers and are most welcoming to our thousands of visitors from around the world. The parks society holds many informative and fun programs for children throughout the season. Without a doubt, the best! Donna & Jim Lutton, Boca Grande
