Being a native of Valley City who left the state for 47 years, I have only the highest praise for Wes Anderson and this museum. In my travels, I never found a place that equals what Barnes County has here. Personally, during VC high school reunions, I organized two Dario drive-in reunions for all who worked there during our teenage years. Wes was completely cooperative and assisted in every way to make them huge successes. It was the perfect place to gather and at the same time enjoy everything the museum has to offer. Thank you, Wes, for all you do for our town and county! Bonnie Cink Ness
I was born and raised in Valley City. I remember taking field trips to the museum when I was in grade school and even in high school. It was always one of the best days of the year for sure. Now that I'm older and ended up back in Valley City I still enjoy going to the museum. I recently brought my 5-year-old niece in to see the dinosaur while we were downtown during crazy day. She was pretty excited and tells everybody about the dinosaur at the museum. My boyfriend and I are always at a loss for what to do for dates in a town that doesn't offer much "date-worthy" places. So we usually decide on going to the museum. This is a great place in our community! A++++
I moved to ND from OH for work. Although I work in Jamestown I ended up living in Valley City because I went to the museum there and thought it was really cool. The staff there including Wes and Allison were very nice and friendly. I thought "the people in Valley City seen so nice that it would be a good place to live." So, long story short, I basically moved to Valley City because of this museum.
