Programs: Inpatient: health care delivery & management: barbara ann karmanos cancer hospital is dedicated to the delivery of cancer care services, the treatment and care of cancer patients and the prevention of cancer. Additionally, karmanos promotes, encourages, aids and performs scientific investigations and research addressing the cause, treatment and prevention of cancer. Essential cancer medical services are provided to the community. From october 2016 to september 2017, karmanos had 24,409 patient days and 3,215 discharges for an average length of stay of 7. 59 days. In addition, there were 269 bone marrow transplant cases, 829 inpatient surgical cases, and 2,474 inpatient imaging cases.
