Programs: It was the intention of baptist hospital home rx to initiate home infusion of medically necessary drugs to patients in the residential and community settings. Baptist hospital rx also planed to be involved in administering and monitoring of intravenous medications administered to patients via gravity or pump. Patients consisted primarily of the medicare and medicaid population, with the service being licensed in two states. The service area consisted of north carolina and virginia. It was the intention of baptist hospital rx to operate a long-term care pharmacy wherein medications would be administered to the nursing center of oak summit for dispensing to patients. In 2008, all of the assets of baptist hospital home rx were transferred to its sole member, north carolina baptist hospital. The former activities of baptist home rx is now a department of north carolina baptist hospital.
