Mission: The college's primary mission is to provide qualified students with the education and experience they need to pursue successful careers within the hospitality industry.
Programs: College program. The college provides an education to students so they can fulfill the needs of the workforce with the appropriate knowledge and experience. This program supports goal 2 of the maryland state plan for postsecondary education achieve a system of postsecondary education that promotes accessibility and affordability for all of maryland. Goal 3 is to ensure equal education opportunity for maryland's diverse citizenry and goal 5 is to promote economic growth and development of a highly qualfied workforce. The college specializes in culinary and hospitality programs affordable to all maryland residents. It provides a highly qualified workforce for maryland's growing tourism and hospitality industries.
practicum hotel/food program. The college has hotels and restaurants open to the public so that students can get hands-on experience. Each student gets to experience all areas of the culinary/hospitality industry from preparing meals, taking inventory, food sanitation to waiting on customers.
the college operates the bookstore to provide books, uniforms, and supplies to students. These amounts also include student housing and costs associated with upkeep.
