Mission: The bakersfield rescue mission's purpose is to provide an environment conducive to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well being of the people we serve. Our goal is to assist each of our residents and guests toward independent living.
Programs: The organization's activities include the operation of a mission for the poor and homeless. Services provided include shelter, meals, clothing, shower/laundry, case management and referral services. Clients are taught about the gospel of jesus christ.
in october of 2015, the bakersfield rescue mission opened a thrift store named encore boutique at 1817 eye street. The mission receives donations at the main office on e. 21st street and at the store.
