Our son Ben has been a rower since his freshman year, he's now a junior. The organization is truly there to serve and provide a world class rowing experience to our community. I am taking on co-management of the BIR field kitchen. The organization is a vast network of volunteers and donors allowing BIR to offer scholarships which is huge. Our junior and master rowers well exceeds 100 and the smiles make it all worthwhile. Thanks David

Fabulous, talented group of coaches teaching the rowers outstanding rowing skills and invaluable life lessons too. Two of my daughters have rowed with BIR and grew as rowers and young adults. The club is an asset to our island community.

This is such a rich and inclusive community! Rowing builds character and teamwork for teens involved at the High School level on the team, and is a GREAT outlet for adults seeking new connections and to get back in shape!

The community is supportive, positive and a genuine member of our vibrant Island Community life!

I became acquainted with BIR when I covered their regattas as a journalist. It was a distinct pleasure to work with them and report on their impressive accomplishments out on the water. They were organized and enthusiastic, and it was clear to see what a positive role they play in our town and how motivated members of the program are. I hoped my daughter might be a part of such a great sport and great group of people. Now she's in her second year on the team, and I'm so grateful she and our family are part of this community. She is challenging herself in amazing ways, connecting with other motivated kids, and learning values and confidence that I know she will take with her the rest of her life.

Cannot say enough good things about BIR. My son went through the rowing program during high school and absolutely loved it. BIR has done amazing fundraising as a group to keep this organization afloat (pun intended.). Please consider supporting BIR.

Fantastic, warm, welcoming community rowing program that also boasts a competitive adult men's and women's program. Juniors program is well organized and some of the best youth in the Pacific Northwest rowing circuit. I've raced and guest rowed with the adult program and helped the youth program at regattas - it's a well run organization in the Pacific Northwest that other community rowing programs strive to become.

Bainbridge Island Rowing is top notch. With a community of over 100 Junior and Master rowers, this organization has been a part of my Senior daughter’s rowing life for 4 1/2 years. Bainbridge Island Rowing is an incredible organization that helps guide young adults towards achieving wonderful self confidence and appreciation of a sport that can continue well beyond high school and college. Being a part of this community has helped my daughter decide to continue her rowing in college and build incredible relationships with fellow rowers and parent volunteers. We love Bainbridge Island Rowing and would recommend them to any and all interested.

Bainbridge Island Rowing has a motto of "Rowing Changes Lives" and boy do they live up to that motto!

My son started rowing his Freshman year in high school. As we all may be able to recall, Freshman year can be filled with an enormous amount of change: new school, new schedules, larger classes, larger student body, juggling, coping, surviving. Our confident, funny, outgoing teen quickly began to feel lost, overwhelmed, isolated and alone. We encouraged him to sign up for crew with BIR because we had heard so many heartwarming stories from parents and teens about their extremely positive experience. By the end of spring season, our son had not only found his people but he had found his home. He found his teammates to be thoughtful, motivating, inspiring and honest. He found his coaches to be encouraging, caring and kind mentors. As his confidence grew in the sport, his confidence grew in life. He's now a happy, motivated, enthusiastic Sophomore who is excited for Spring season. Rowing and BIR have changed his life and we are all very thankful for such a wonderful program.
