BRAFF has been providing for orphaned and abandoned children of central Asia since 2004. Prior to that they provided aid through Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
Since splitting from LSS the families and friends of BRAFF have provided over $400,000 of direct aid to children in Mongolia and Buryatia. These monies have provided immunization, antibiotics, medical care and even such things as enrichment activities and occasionally nutrition.
Braff volunteers have provided dental care and training as well as pediatric medical services in Buryatia . Upgrades to children's facilities in Ulan Ude. And support for Catholic missionary run schooling programs in Ulan Batar.
The amount spent on programs consistently runs well over 90%
