The conflict in Sudan has displaced more than 1.7 million southerners.With that estimate,some fled into neighboring countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt,Tanzania,South Africa,etc.,and others southerners fled as far as: USA,Autralia,Canada,Asia,and Europe.As a results of Sudan's long civil war, Southerners vilages were burned down on the ground,children were taken,women were rapped and taken into slavery,and men were hunted down and killed by Arabs.With that struggled,Southerners people were unable to grow food,but seek safety somewhere esle.After Sudan signed the Comprehensive Peace Agrement in 2005 between North-South. The Ayat development foundation a 501(c)3 was and formed in the United States of America on June 26, 2004, in Nebraska, Omaha. Ayat Development Foundation,s prime purpose is to enhance unity and coorpertation as well as bolster geneating resources that are intended for the development of war-torn villages in Ayat,Southern Sudan. Put differently, from its inception, ADF's vision is to foster development, ensure prosperity and enhance our public image both in Diaspora and at the Ayatland. Our objectives & Purposed â– To unify all Ayatians in Diaspora and connect them with their homeland. â– To preserve and unhold the image, heritage and culture of Ayat people. â– To promote all social and noble causes of Ayat people. â– To promote early child development. â– To promote quality education and basic health clinics at homeland. â– To promote community Development in Ayatland. â– To provide community-based assistant in Diaspora. â– To focus project activities on marginalized communities in Ayatland Southern Sudan â– To increase livelihood in food security by building self-reliable and increasing agricultural productions.
