Proving its strength and resolve to continue the fight to provide a safe and quality place of education for these kiddos ALF tops my list for best new nonprofit. I am in awe of the work they do and the good desires they have for future projects that will best enable the special children.
The Autism Learning Foundation has provided our autism program a beautiful setting to provide students with learning opportunities in an authentic setting. The founders of ALF genuinely sought input on designing a place appropriate for autistic’s to thrive. They asked, listened, and implemented architectural designs into every structure and landscaping improvement that supports overall physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual need our students require on a daily basis. Having a place to teach, encourage, support, and regulate all in one place has been a dream come true. ALF’s attention to safety, authentic learning, sensory, and serenity makes them a one of a kind nonprofit in its efforts to support autism learning. They not only met the needs for a stable place for learning opportunities, they provided a 15 passenger van to ensure learning can be achieved within the property AND in public. This is truly a nonprofit that understands and appropriately supports the needs and desires of autistics and professionals desiring to go beyond traditional school settings. I’m beyond fortunate to have the leasing opportunity to teach in such a place!
