Austin Fairy Godmother is, very simply, an amazing organization. They provide beautiful formal wear in an all-inclusive package for a nominal donation, and from the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel like a queen. Aside from the huge selection of dresses, AFG hosts shopping parties for Dell Children's Hospital and Texas School for the Deaf, and is a partner with Austin's SafePlace. Diva Day Out events provide at-risk teen girls with a safe environment to relax with friends, play dress-up for a day, and hear words of advice from an empowering guest speaker.
I've volunteered at other organizations, and this one by far has been the most impactful within a small but growing community!
