Causes: Community Foundations, Philanthropy
Mission: Our grants aim to improve the quality of life in our community for all. We support health, human services, arts and culture, environment, community development and service, education and training, recreation, and animal-related services.
Results: In 35 years, the Austin Community Foundation has built assets for the community of more than $100 million. In 2008, we enabled almost $24 million in new grants to the community.
Target demographics: Central Texans and beyond
Direct beneficiaries per year: Central Texas nonprofits, donors, foundations as well as projects and programs that impact Austinites for the better.
Programs: The Austin Community Foundation works with selected non-profits to create and build endowments. The Foundation provides training in endowment building, networking opportunities and other resources, and matching funds.
