Visiting nurses are unsung heroes or heroines in our society. Having had to depend on them during the last three months of my father's life, made me realize how incapable I was to render the depth of care necessary for my father's comfortable departure and I am grateful for the services of such people. Although my father was a resident of Ohio at the time of his death and I have not had to pleasure of calling on the Auburn Visiting Nurses, I am acquainted with some nurses through other social venues and I know of the scope of their work, their diligence and compassion. I am grateful to know that the Auburn Visiting Nurses are available in the community.

I have just had a knee replacement and I received care from the Auburn VNA...The Staff has been so very knowledgeable with answering questions that I had in reference to my recovery. They also assisted my wife with reassurance due to unforeseen health issues for me that came up while they were working with me. The Physical Therapist Laurie Borrello was a great help to getting my leg to bend more and more...She also was extremely helpful in getting the necessary equipment needed for my recovery withing a short period of time...She was alert to know that during the begining exercises I had an episode of vaso vagal and she was able to get me thru it without my passing out!!!...She brought it to the nurse Mary Peterson attention also and when Mary came she was very thorough and she made the Home Health Aide George aware of the vasovagal also...She also was very helpful. I highly recommend the Auburn VNA as they are very knowledgeable, helpful, and caring and definitely outstanding with meeting the patients needs as they arise. Mary, Laurie and George and Casey thank you for all your help in my recovery!!!
