My first serve experience with Attack Poverty - Friends of North Rosenberg was in late 2022 when the center hosted Breaking Bread. The focus of this event was providing a community gathering where local folks could enjoy fellowship, prayer, and a meal.

Prior to Breaking Bread, I visualized the local population as downtrodden or depressed due to socioeconomic challenges. However, I experienced a life-changing awareness in seeing the joy and blessings they readily shared!

Since then, I have had the pleasure to take part in a prayer walk, mission week, 5K/10K run, and weekly volunteer opportunities! The phenomenal staff and members have accepted me as part of their family, and I truly enjoy the privilege!!

Sincerely,

Philip Gaudette

I love what this organization is about and does in and for our community. Specifically, after Harvey they mobilized so many people to care for people impacted by the hurricane. I was so moved, I asked if I could help in anyway. They needed support to manage volunteers so I jumped in. It was awesome! The beautiful part was the commitment of Attack Poverty to care for people many had forgotten about. My whole family has gotten involved and we love serving together with the Attack Poverty team!
