Mission: Assistance league of greater placer is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization that puts caring and commitment into action through community based philanthropic programs.
Programs: Operation school bell-supplied 1,212 students with new clothing. This program also supplies students with shoes, socks, backpacks,school supplies, grooming kits, 2,052 dictionaries and tutoring services to 276 students in the greater placer area. Over 4,172 students saw "kids on the block" puppet shows about bullying and disabilities. Provided school liasons served 106 schools.
sierra bears-provides teddy bears to four hospital emergency rooms, firemen, local police and sheriffs in the greater placer to offer reassurance and comfort to frightened, injured, or traumatized children. 2,165 teddy bears were distributed this year.
