Mission: Assistance league of amador valley is a non-profit organization dedicated to hands-on volunteerism, assisting those in need through unique service programs, which are focued on aiding education for low income students, early screening eye care, and support programs for the elderly and for assault victims. The members of the assistance league of amador valley are a highly motivated and dedicated group of women currently consisting of almost 80 volunteers. We prouldy serve the tri-valley area that includes dublin, livermore, and pleasanton. Our common goal is the contribution that we bring to the betterment of the community.
Programs: Operation school bell - provides clothing, shoes, books, and tutoring services for elementary school students in the pleasanton unified school district.
assault survivors kit - provides clothing and personal care items for women, and teddy bears for children, who are receiving services at the tri-valley haven for women in livermore
screening eyes early - provides diagnostic screening services for preschool children for early detection of eye problems.
caring about the retired and eldery - maintains a magazine library and assists with special events at the pleasanton senior center and the pleasanton nursing and rehabilitation center.
birthday bags - provides bags of goodies to children who have a birthday during their stay at the tri-valley have from women in livermore.
food for families - provides food twice a month at a local food kitchen in livermore.
foster kids - provides educational games, supplies, books, and craft projects for children spending supervised time with their biological parents.
