I was an employee.....I
enjoyed helping the community for many years and would probably have stayed there for the rest of my career. Unfortunately the upper management hired a manager who was basically incompetent and unable to get very much done but was an expert at covering her mistakes.

I have been serving in a part time role as an Encore Fellow for Aspiranet since last summer and have now garnered a wide exposure to the organization, both from a Headquarters and Field perspective. I have been very impressed with the caliber and dedication of individuals that I have crossed paths with that work for Aspiranet, many of which have several years of service with the organization. I have been particularly impressed with Aspiranet Case Workers (or "Life Coaches" as they are called in San Bernadino) who frequently go "above and beyond" to help their young adult client population. This can include helping execute an "emergency" move on a week-end, or going to the grocery store to assist with shopping and household budget management.
