I heard Jill speak at a conference ten years ago. I was moved by her direct experience and her desire to improve conditions for animals that are literally tortured for years for no valid reason. They have rescued hundreds of bears and have expanded their work to open a Vietnam bear rescue and educate people in Asia to reduce the killing and eating of cats and dogs that sadly does exist. They do a great job updating their website with their latest work and Jill writes a blog, so please check it out to see their ongoing accomplishments. In response to the one-star poster, this organization is based out of London, so that could explain why they had delays in communication. That doesn't negate the fact that this organization does great and important work to rescue and assist animals who are suffering.
Pleased to follow Asia Wild’s launch here in the United States. Impressed that the mission not only follows and supports Asian animals abroad, but their care and support domestically. Cheers for your great work.

Asia Wild is not Animals Asia. I have and will continue to support Animals Asia as the most effective organization working on the incredibly difficult task of ending bear bile farming and providing rescued sanctuary for hundreds of bears. DO NOT BE confused by the newly named Asia Wild, who are creating confusion in donors' minds. They called me to solicit me, when I had nothing to do with them. They must have gotten my name from the Animals Asia donor base they are apparently now using to fund raise. They said that Animals Asia has a new name -- Asia Wild--which actually is not affiliated with Animals Asia. Asia Wild is not the route I will use to safely continue to support Animals Asia and their work founded by Jill Robinson. From my phone call and conversation with other high donors for Animals Asia, Asia Wild seems to be using the donor mailing list cultivated by the integrity and good will of Animals Asia, not a donor base those now in charge of Asia Wild developed for themselves. I find this highly questionable in my opinion. I will continue to donate to Animals Asia via their new route: Charities Aid Foundation American EIN 43-1634280, at 225 Reinekers Ln, Suite 375, Alexandria, VA 22314-2875. This is my way to make my US donation tax deductible and a way that Animals Asia has cut administrative costs, so more of every dollar goes directly to programs. Simply earmark your donation for Animals Asia.

I want to step up for this organization. In my point of view, bile bear farms are the worst place to live a life. Without this organization, nothing happens about it. Billions of farmed animals are trapped in cages, but that's far from the biggest these bears have. The suffer immensily from retrieving bile, via a hole in their bile blatter, over and over again, untill they die. It goes on for as many years as they stay strong. The boredom, the loneliness aren't their biggest problems. The suffering is unnbearable. And the worst fact is that there is no need for bile. Chinese practitioners write prescriptions for medication containing bear bile. The worst thing is that the cruelty is for nothing. There's an artificial form of bear bile on the market. That is why I donate, and put Animals Asia in my will. So that Animals Asia can close down the farms one by one and take good care of the bears in the sanctuaries, that obviously need a lot of money. Last year, 2022, they have opened a bigger one. That says enough: they have been able to free more and more animals.
I donated to this charity for several years, but this year the website was malfunctioning and I could not register my donation. I sent an email to AA about the problem but never received a reply. So I crossed them off my donation list, assuming that they didn't want my donation.
