Mission: The asante foundation's primary exempt purpose is to raise monies and in-kind donations to further the exempt purpose of asante, a 501(c)(3) hospital and healthcare system which services the healthcare needs of the citizens of southern oregon and northern california.
Programs: During the tax year, the asante foundation's largest program service accomplishment was the granting of $1,122,500 to benefit various departments and capital projects at rogue regional medical center (rrmc), a 378 licensed bed hospital located in medford, oregon. Of the capital projects,over $100,000 was donated to addition of an end of life room on the medical oncology unit. This generous donation allowed the department to add a room dedicated to the peaceful passing of a patient. In addition, over $90,000 was donated to remodel the behavioral health rooms in the emergency department. The asante foundation also helps support numerous clinical departments at rrmc. This includes generous donations of over $95,000 to the resource management department for a pulmonary nurse navigator and over $17,000 to help support pediatric oncology patients and their families. The foundation also provided nearly $10,000 for free mammograms and breast cancer education for uninsured women in the valley. Other donations help support the women's imaging center, the emergency department, the mental health department, family house, nurse education and the dubs cancer center.
the asante foundation's second largest program service accomplishment is the granting of $133,069 to help support various departments and capital projects at three rivers medical center (trmc), a 125 licensed bed hospital located in grants pass, oregon. During the tax year, the foundation contributed $10,990 for a new belly boards for woman's imaging. The foundation also made a contribution of $11,576 for new locks for the family house. In addition to capital projects, the foundation contributed over $14,00 for free mammograms and breast cancer education for uninsured women in the area. Other departments that benefited from foundation donations include the imaging department, diabetes education and family birth.
the asante foundation's third largest program service accomplishment is the granting of $130,405 to help support various departments and capital projects at ashland community hospital, asante physician partners and the nursing excellence initiative. During the tax year the foundation contributed $68,203 to a diabetic care program at app. They also contributed $30,000 to the nursing initiative for safe patient handling training equipment. The asante foundation's on-going mission is to continually assess the needs of the hospitals it supports, as well as the community we serve. Over the years, the foundation has contributed millions of dollars to help subsidized important clinical departments of the hospitals and help purchase needed medical equipment. It has also made significant contributions to major building projects at rogue regional medical center and three rivers medical center.
