Causes: Food, Food Banks & Pantries
Mission: Acfb provides its neighbors with food assistance and other resources to foster self-sufficiency and achieve long term success through innovation, compassion and community support.
Programs: To provide effective hunger relief programs to qualifying individuals in need of emergency food. During the year ended june 30, 2017, the organization provided food through 13,204 household visits to its client choice food pantry. More than 1,500 school children received food backpacks each weekend of the school year. The bridges to opportunity self-sufficiency program provides clients with assistance applying for public benefits, community human service resource information and referral, ged tutoring and test preparation, job search and readiness training, as well as a computer room available for use by clients.
