Causes: Education, Undergraduate Colleges
Mission: Arts evangelica's mission is to change lives through dance worship. Our goal is to teach children to draw near to god as a part of their dance training. Our students progress from beginners to pre-professionals, studying classical ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, voice, music and drama in a christian environment of excellence. Many of our students have received scholarships to colleges and universities as a result of their training at our school. The arts evangelica dance company provides an opportunity for the most accomplished students of the school to perform in a variety of venues for the purpose of inspiring audiences to have a relationship with jesus christ. We encourage our students to be diamond dancers who are reflections of jesus christ and to pursue the arts to spread the gospel worldwide.
Programs: Students progress from beginners to pre-professionals studying classical ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, voice, music and drama in a christian environment of excellence. We teach regularly scheduled classes for students age 3 to adult mon-sat; 61 students; the arts evangelica dance company provides an opportunity for the most accomplished students to perform in a variety of venues for the purpose of inspiring audiences to have a relationship with jesus christ. This group ministers to boys and girls clubs, orphanages, elderly homes, homeless shelters; we conduct outreach activities throughout our region of nc and abroad. Our focus is creativity and inner healing through the arts with emphasis on classical ballet as a form of worship. In 2017 arts evangelica ministered to over 1,182 persons. Our outreach events were: the crossing church pastor appreciation (89), piedmont christian home (50), mills home orphanage (137), avante retirement home (29), pathways homeless shelter (40), stratford & pennybryn nursing homes (50), arts evangelica recital (168), gathering of the artisans asheville nc (237), church on the lake high point (382)
