Mission: The arts & business council of miami (abc) is leading the movement to build a sustainable cultural ecosystem through advancing high-impact partnerships between business, entrepreneurs and the arts. As miami's only organization that leverages the arts for economic vitality, abc provides meaningful engagement opportunities with the arts to inspire employees, stimulate innovation and foster creativity. When a business partners with the arts, they strengthen the entire community. For over 30 years, abc has played a leading role developing programs that bring together business and arts for effective and mutually beneficial outcomes. We assist over 500 arts groups through executive consultancies, leadership training, audience development, workshops, forums, curated outreach and networking events.
Programs: Recognizing that a strong cultural community is good for business and recognizing that miami-dade's cultural resources are key contributors to economic development, tourism and our quality of life, the arts & business council promotes community growth and vitality through strengthening the arts. Cultural connection assists more than 500 nonprofit cultural organizations through training , leadership development, networking and outreach. We are the only organization working directly with small, mid-sized and emerging non-profit programs. We also assist more than 1,000 individual artists.
we provide opportunities for business professionals to share their skills, talents and time with the arts through our volunteer, leadership and outreach programs. Arts connection is a direct service volunteer program for business professionals. Monthly volunteer opportunities are highlighted on-line and in a monthly volunteer e-mail newsletter sent to over 15,000 volunteers and networking and outreach to engage business professionals. Attorneys share their legal skills through volunteer lawyers for the arts.
help arts groups develop sophisticated marketing strategies to increase their audiences and impact. Miami arts marketing project was developed to help arts organizations better understand the marketplace in which they operate and recognize the benefits of an outward-looking audience development strategy with workshops and roundtables. Each year we host a full day national conference, 6 workshops and labs attended by more than 500 arts executives. We activate more than 100 marketing professionals that served as speakers, steering committee members and mentors.
