Artrageous Artreach has excelled in utilizing best practices to reach often overlooked and underserved populations. Though hard-working and strategically sound in their approach, you cannot miss the heartfelt passion in which they engage their craft. I have been particularly impressed with their focus on improving mental health and building resiliency in youth through the use of art. Their passion for positive impact puts a smile on my face every time I work with them!
I watched the three videos made by Artrageous for Black History Month and the content and messaging were excellent for kids. I have been a teacher for thirty years and I know what kids like. They will be captivated by this format, which includes using song, dance and live artwork to present information from the Social Studies / History curriculum. It would be so easy to give students a Q and A
sheet beforehand to fill in after the show. Wonderful troupe of artists and performers I would highly recommend to mix things up in the classroom.
Artrageous Artreach is a nonprofit that has taken their unique blend of art, music, dance and puppetry to communities throughout America. Their outreach program has been of incredible service to communities and students that would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience performance art. The cast's interaction with the audience and their enthusiasm about sharing their love of the arts with the audience is moving. Educators who attend the performances with their students unanimously praise the transformation they witness in their students. They understand the importance of the arts in the development of creativity and how essential it is for problem solving in all areas of our lives. And the kids are having so much fun while learning! I am so proud to be associated with these remarkable individuals and to witness first hand the benefits they provide. Bill B.
Imagination is at the core of Artrageous Artreach (Artreach), and I find it difficult to imagine a group with more potential to bring about change in children. I have been a volunteer with Artreach since February of 2019 and am still filled with a sense of wonder whenever I help put on a show. Seeing the students light up with joy and dance on stage inspires me to be more courageous in my day to day. I could never have imagined 10 year old Jake running on stage to be in the spotlight to dance with a big group! It would have taken a bulldozer to move me in front of an audience! But that is the magic of this troupe, they inspire kids to be themselves in the eyes of others and helps one realize that even though we are all different, we can still have fun together. Looking forward to many more years of Artreach!
I am passionate about volunteering with Artrageous Artreach because I have seen first hand the positive transformation they have on kids during their performance workshops. We get to spark a broader sense of possibility in them and offer them a sense of connection, with their community and the arts.
The joy, passion, and creativity Artreach brings to the stage is truly powerful. Thousands of students have experienced Artreach around the country, and at all the shows students are clapping along, singing, dancing in their seats or even on stage with us! We've heard stories from parents that their kids are doing more art months after the show!
Many Artreach audiences go to underserved Title 1 Schools, and they may never experience such an immersive art experience if it weren't for Artreach. The team is incredibly creative, and bring all the arts together on one stage (visual, music, performance, dance, puppetry, costuming) & make sure the involve the audience throughout. They also go out of their way to make sure teachers have study guides to enrich their classroom experiences after the theatre show to promote social-emotional learning and art literacy.
The troupe is genuinely cares about whole child development, community engagement, and using the arts as a vehicle to give kids tools for every day life. I'm incredibly grateful to volunteer with them and I'm excited to see Artreach will do in the future.
The Artrageous crew are a remarkable bunch, brimming with compassion. They are dedicated to using their many talents to spark joy and creativity in children and their families. It is so unique what they do and the energy they bring to their performances and workshops is of the highest caliber. The world is a better, brighter, funner, more colorful place because of the services Artrageous provides to our youth. Thanks for all you do!
I’ve volunteered with ARTrageous Artreach and travelled across the country, witnessing firsthand the amazing benefits that this program has had on thousands of kids. Without This Artreach program many of the kids would not have had the opportunity to be immersed with all the different kinds of art forms. I highly recommend ARTrageous Artreach and it’s amazing mostly volunteer staff- their hearts and energy are most defiantly in the right place.
I have brought Artrageous into our community twice and we have them rebooked for this year with a full residency. Their unique way of combining the creative arts with the performing arts is unapparelled. Their use of audience involvement is also one of the most successful I've seen. We had them at our Civic Center as part of our Family/Kids Series and at intermission I had three middle school teachers come and tell me this was the most exciting and engaging art and performing art experiences they had ever seen and every young person they knew should see it. They also manage to enchant the adults as much as the younger audience members. Book them! Your community we applaud you!
