Mission: Operated by the artlab21 Foundation, the mission of the Experimentally Structured Museum of Art (ESMoA) is to act as a catalyst for creative thinking in the South Bay and greater Los Angeles area, provoking visitors to “Reimagine Creativity” with a focus on experimental exhibitions, community engagement and arts education. ESMoA seeks to recalibrate rules of understanding, knowing, and doing through the arts. Our founders and team believe that many people, including our visitors, local partners, and featured artists, should contribute to the interpretation and creation of art. We seek to have all participants in the creation and viewing of art learn more about themselves. Life is too short to not know and use all of your senses. ESMoA believes that art is a state of mind that can open all your senses. And artworks help you to reflect on things that are and will be.
