The AWA Gallery is a place that has afforded my son and other people with Autism a place to learn and grow in their Artistic abilities and social and work skills. It is truly an amazing place that was started by an amazing person, Cynthia Drucker. She is a constant teacher and mentor to the Artists. I know that my son Keith appreciates the opportunity to sell his art in the beautiful gallery that she has developed. I thank her for that and for the opportunity to volunteer there at the gallery.
I love purchasing artwork from Artists with Autism, Inc and look forward to growing my collection. I always look forward to visiting the Artists with Autism Gallery and Gift Boutique in Pompano Beach, FL. You are always greeted with a warm smile and their customer service is exceptional!
This studio of talented individuals is awesome! Their works of art are meaningful and the experience of entrepreneurship for them is vital for the individuals self discovery and personal growth.
I went into store had enlightening conversation with one of the artists that was working on projects. Both gentleman in store very helpful and concerned that I was able to find everything I was looking for. Other larger stores can learn something from them.
Been there a few times and bought some art pieces. Artists and employees are very friendly and interesting to talk with them. My daughter is autistic but very functional and also loves to paint and play music. We live in Canada but when I'm in South Florida we love to visit their location. What you are doing for these individuals with autism is excellent and very fulfilling for them. Keep up the beautiful work.
I've been to this wonderful shop 3 times in the last year. The artwork is all beautiful and a lot of it is functional and that's what I tend to purchase there. I've interacted with Brandon twice, he's a joy to speak with, and the other folks I've interacted with are courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. I brought out of town friends there as their 2 grandsons are on the Spectrum.
Please continue your dedicated work.
This organization has done AMAZING work for Artists with Autism.
Not only do they get to 'practice their art', they learn to:
Run a Retail Store, including Greeting, Selling and Ringing up the Register.
Work with the public
and gaining GREAT skills for LIFE..
We so strongly recommend this organization .. It has made a Great difference for so many Autistic individuals.. Including my daughter.....
I really enjoy Artists with Autism because it has helped me express myself through my artwork! Plus it has helped be more confident and I have a lot of new friends and it shows the world that we can all be great artists!
Artists with Autism , and the Gallery and Gift Boutique provides aspiring artists on the spectrum the platform they needed to get a start in their self-employment endeavor. By giving the artists the opportunity for independence, they have excelled in their achievements and have excelled in any expectations others may have thought to be possible.
I am happy and grateful to Artists With Autism. org, because my son has the opportunity to show his art in art galleries, and art shows. Thank to this activities he had improve his communication skills socializing more than ever before, and at the same time he enjoys showing his art work, that helps him to trust his talents and abilities. Now he feels more confident and happy! Thank you, thank you.
Lots of people on the spectrum enjoy drawing, including my son. He's been drawing since he could hold a pencil and continues to do so as a young adult. He's a founding member of AWA and has participated in various art exhibits, sales, fundraisers, classes, projects and field trips with other members of the group. When we moved out of Florida, we began an AWA chapter in PA and he continues to develop as an artist and businessman. His experience with this (FREE:) group has improved his self confidence and social skills. He's currently taking college classes and always has his sketchbook with him on campus.
