The Artists’ Guild of Columbia County is an amazing group. I worked with them as the Grassroots Art Administrator for two years and I thought they were perfect sub-grantees. They were thorough and always completed applications, mid-year reports, and final reports completely and on time. They produce wonderful events and I really enjoy Art After Dark!

I joined the Guild 4 years ago. Prior to that I typically worked independantly. It has been a pleasure to be a part of this group. The artists are such and inviting group who are always willing to help each other and pitch in to make every event we participate in a success. It has been so exciting to be a part of the growth of this organization and see the impact we have been able to have on the arts in our community. We've worked hard to create quality events that expose the community to art, and I am looking forward to some of the new workshops and groups that are developing to provide opportunitites for artists to come together and share art together and expand their understanding not only of art, but also the business of art.

I'm not on the board but I am a member of the Columbia County Artist Guild. I am horrible about keeping up to date on what we are doing but the guild always makes sure I know what is going on. As a mother of six I believe the arts are paramount to a well rounded education. This guild brings the experience of art to the public. Plus, it is a forum for all us "artist" to get together and share our ups and downs. The benefits of being an artist are sometimes sporatic but the benefits of being a member of this guild are constant.

What we remember most from past civilizations is their art. We can know a civilization without knowing their medium income or the highest paid jobs. You can never truly know one without an understanding of their art. Keep that in mind and support our guild!

I have been a member of the AGCC for two years and the greatest benefit for me is being a part of the artist community in my area. Alone - I was an island, but within this organization we share ideas, activities, upcoming events and general support, not to mention friendship. We have sub groups open to all members like the portraiture group which I especially enjoy and I am looking forward to our newly formed "art days" where we gather to create just for the fun of it!

I joined the artist guild when it was a very small organization and have seen it grow and bloom. I have met many wonderful artists who have become friends both personally and artistically.
As the Artist guild grows it becomes more important to the community with the art shows it sponsors, the scholarship opportunities it provides high school students and the learning environment provided in our activity meetings.
Any one with an interest in the arts would benefit form aligning themselves with the Columbia County Artist Guild.

I joined the CCAG as it was starting with about 10 interested artists. It has grown and become a great part of my life over the years. Meeting, learning and sharing with other artists and public is invigorating. I have heard a lot of positive feedback from friends, who aren't artists, who have attended the Art After Dark event, which the guild sponsors each year. I was secretary for 2 years.
