This site has a wealth of information and many members with a breadth of experience concerning spine problems and artificial discs. Because of their experience, the members are helpful with different philosophies of treatment, doctors, procedures, hospitals, travel tips, international options, medications, dealing with medical insurance, and the emotional strain of it all. They can share what has worked for them, and why; what hasn't worked for them, and why; what they're glad they did; what they wish they had done and wish they hadn't done. This is a must stop resource for anyone considering spinal fusion or artificial disc replacement.
Great site to discuss and get advice from others who are suffering from back and neck pain. Its great to have a place to share stories and real world experiences with people who have overcome and also continue to deal with it every day.
Like many, I have been a chronic back pain sufferer for 13 years and have tried everything short of surgery. That may change soon I hope. In those 13 years I have been to many forums and boards about chronic pain, back issues, etc... There are few like the ARTHROPLASTY PATIENT FOUNDATION (www.adrsupport.org). The founder Harrison is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, as are all the people on the forum who support each other, offer useful info and tips, and generally can relate to each other. I have been a member for a number of years and they are still my first choice when I need help and/or support. I also enjoy offering my experiences and giving help and support when I can. We are all very lucky to have such a forum to talk, share, and help each other! Ken Hoff
