Mission: The mission of the arthritis foundation is to improve lives through leadership in prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.
Programs: Research - the arthritis foundation is the nation's largest private funder of arthritis research. Research funded is peer-reviewed and awarded accordingly. The program seeks to maximize the impact of its research investment by focusing in three principle disease areas - osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, junvenile arthritis.
public health education - the arthritis foundation provides health information to the general public on all aspects of arthritis through public education health forums, speakers bureaus and health exhibits, to encourage individuals and communities to promote healthy behaviors and improve quality of life.
patient and community services - the arthritis foundation offers evidence-based programs for better living, information and referral help line, camp m. A. S. H. For kids, juvenile arthritis family network and family fun day.
advocate for public policy changes - to increase patients' access to treatments , and increase access to pediatric rheumatologists, increase funding for arthritis related research, and increase awareness of the disease by building a strong congressional arthritis caucus.
