The website and it's publications (online magazine the quarterly, blog artenews, social networks, and and monthly newsletter ofa) permit sustained expansion of engagements between artists and art leaders in the mena arts sector and arts and philanthropic communities in the us and beyond by serving as a resource that opens access to opportunities in the us and globally as well as a platform for building dialogue around industry developments and critical discourse. 1. Arteeast organized "curating the region" 1-day symposium in new york in sept 2014 with the new museum on the occasion of the exhibition, "here and elsewhere" which brought together arts leaders, scholars, and curators from the region with u. S. Based colleagues to discuss how museum and curatorial practices might better support development of a broader international audience for mena contemporary art. 2. Arteeast's residencies program partners with leading residency programs in the us to support mena artists to participate in these important opportunities for international engagement, professional development and to create new work. In 2014, arteeast continued its long term relationship with the watermill center and supported the residency of one artist in june 2014. The program is currently being expanded to multiple new partnerships for coming years. 3. Arteeast organized the network of arab arthouse screen's first annual workshop in beirut may 2014 to offer 5-day program of professional training to a new generation of arts administrators. 4. Arteeast launched a new artist talk monthly series in conjunction with fundraising program arteeast patrons circle.
