I have been a staff member and one of 38 artists at Art Works Downtown for 6 years. I have witnessed the transformation of the art community represented in downtown San Rafael with AWD leading the way. 12 years ago AWD began its mission to bring art to the community with outreach programs including Art Walks, Art Talks, gallery exhibits, Open Studios, art classes and summer camps for kids. I have personally seen the enrichment of our public with a variety of art forms that bring "something for everyone". We offer, free of charge, an experience for anyone seeking artistic fulfillment. The opportunity to present my work as a studio artist has been exciting and provides growth and stimulation to my life. I am grateful for the efforts of our founders in providing a place where art is valued as a driving force in life. We are all very passionate about our art center and I am proud to be a part of Art Works Downtown.
