Mission: The mission of Arms Outstretched Ministry, Inc. is to reach the community by showing the love of Jesus through acts of compassion in order to make a difference in the lives of others.
Results: 100% of our proceeds go directly into the needs of the community. We have helped 5 food pantries in the NOVA area keep their shelves full with food through our in Kind food donations by local grocery and restaurant chains. We have graduated 15 young adults from the Virginia School of Ministry (VSOM) discipleship school from 2013-2018 which was accredited by the Valley Forge University. Some graduated with degrees during their tenure at VSOM. All received life skills to prepare them for the world and grew into strong, morally sound leaders in the community and workplace. We closed the school during COVID and are now moving in the direction to launch again as there is still great need for the school for the generation of young adults ages 17-25. We have helped veterans find homes, financial help, PTSD counseling, and more in partnership with other non-profit organizations through our Honoring Our Heroes program. We have helped over 50 women and children find shelter from domestic violence and continue to work with shelter to donate needed items, life skills training, and daycare needs of the parents. We have provided benevolent assistance to the homeless in the Woodbridge, VA area through hot meals, clothing, job interviews, and shelter.
