Doing great things to spread awareness regarding suicide and in my hometown! Can't wait to learn more.
Passionate, caring, knowledgeable and experienced hard work for our community and elsewhere.
Armed Forces Mission is tackling a vital need by intervening with our veterans must at risk for suicide. Many organizations have been trying to raise awareness, AFM is making that extra step to make a difference in the lives of our veterans who are struggling after they have stepped off the battlefield. As I volunteer in our community whether at festivals, sporting events, or work, I can't tell you the number of times that I have been told by local business owners they have hired a veteran who is struggling with suicide. If there is one reliable non-profit organization that maximizes its resources and funding, it's Armed Forces Mission! As a Navy veteran, who has struggled, I highly recommend AFM not only because of its mission but because they truly care about building a culture of health in the community.
This organization comprising heartfelt Christian warriors is doing outstanding work in training first responder to intervene in possible suicide attempts. Fantastic work by incredible caring professionals I hope to volunteer with this organization I believe so strongly in their work. MSG (RET) Terry R. Grant
You will not find a group of people from all walks of life who are more knowledgable or more compassionate about suicide prevention than those who work with Armed Forces Mission.
Successfully intervening and equipping hundreds of us to work in the community to give hope to struggling people. The training is straight forward and will give anyone the knowledge they need to help those who are at risk!
Chaplain Kenneth Koon is the most dedicated and passionate soldier I've ever met. His heart is filled with love and compassion for those who have grown hopeless and / or lost a loved one to suicide. He is on-call 24/7 and proves himself to be tireless and totally unselfish when it comes to saving a life. I am honored to call him a friend ... and, I am a monthly supporter of www.ArmedForcesMission.org. Hope you will team-up with Maj. Koon to help save lives and marriages.
Armed Forces Mission is an integral part of making Fayette County stronger. AFM is dedicated to suicide intervention, education and creating a healthier community. Kenneth Koon provides the highest level of integrity and leadership and dedication I have seen in a grassroots effort organization with a national vision. Everyday, the presence of AFM is noticeable whether at first responder events, community commemorative events, Eagle Scout ceremonies or first on the scene.
Recently, I volunteered at the inaugural challenge. It was an excellent event featuring a cross-section of our community, raising over $10,000 in funds to support the mission to save lives, leveraging a 22 minute push up challenge. Genius. Kenneth Koon always looks for ways to honor, educate and partner with others for the good of this mission. Communities across America can drastically impact the suicide statistics and enjoy healthier communities through the resources and education Armed Forces Mission can provide. Join the mission to save lives. -Jacqueline Arnold, Patriotic author, former military spouse
