Causes: Crime & Law, Crime Prevention
Mission: To educate the public about gun safety and gun violence gun deaths and injuries.
Programs: Azgs engaged individuals, organizations, and public officials from diverse communities in a statewide effort to prevent gun violence. In 2013 azgs hosted speak up youth training had 600 participants, azgs also hosted 3 gun buyback weekends in which over 2,000 guns were collected. Azgs also provided community education through the speakers bureau which reached more than 2,000 individuals. Azgs also hosted a multimedia campaign to educate arizonans on gun violence.
