Mission: To support maricopa county animal care and control by providing the best possible outcomes for all shelter animals.
Programs: Treated more than 30 animals for valley fever. Delivered 41,000 pounds of dog and cat food to maricopa county animal care control. Provided flea, tick, and mange prevention for more than 750 animals with high-quality medication such as provecta. Made sure 85 young animals were healthy through parvo testing kits. Helped ensure that 65 clinically treated animals were safe after surgery with e-collars. Made shelter animals more comfortable through purchase of kuranda beds specially designed dog beds for every kennel. Offered 100 incentives to rescue groups to take 42 large-breed dogs and 250 incentives for 62 pit bull mixes, saving those animals from euthanasia. Provided financial support for the transport of 1,857 dogs, opening space at the county shelters, including direct transport costs, snap tests and heartworm tests and necessary boarding before transports. Provided continuing behavior education by supporting classes from professional animal trainers and behaviorists.
