Programs: Senior support services: (1) senior information & assistance (i & a) fielded 1,080 inquiries from seniors or family members and referred to appropriate services. (2) i & a filed 7 adult protective services reports on behalf of local seniors. (3) subcontracted for caregiver training and conducted one caregiver training course to 39 participants, providing 164. 25 service hourse of education. (4) health insurance counseling & advocacy program (hicap) assisted 3,442 clients regarding selection of medicare part d plans and resolution of other medicare questions. (5) hicap made over 8,704 total contacts with seniors, including phone calls and at public events. (6) long term care ombudsman program conducted 659 visits to long term care facilities and investigated 128 cases assisted by 6 volunteers who donated 1,167 hours. (7) a1aa subcontracted for the provision of 1,131 hours of legal services to 278 seniors.

nutrition services: contracted services - pass through funding and related administration: (1) 47,258 meals served at five congregate lunch sites (2) 59,891 meals delivered to homebound seniors (3) 1,624 meals delivered to seniors upon discharge from hospital (4) provided nutrition information to 1,080 seniors at outreach events. Direct nutrition services by a1aa staff: (1) conducted 19 nutrition education sessions for 905 clients; (2) coordinated the distribution of 250 sets of senior farmers market coupons

volunteer services: (1) volunteer center of the redwoods (vcor) / rsvp recruited 71 new volunteers for service in 30 community organizations, ending the year with a total of 272 volunteers who gave 25,987 hours of service. (2) vcor/rsvp coordinated 47 volunteer drivers who provided 2,315 one-way free rides to 178 seniors for medical appointments and groceries.
