HOW GREAT THOU ARC!
ARC of Central Virginia is a warm, inviting place, where son, Darren, goes during week days to enjoy activities with other people with/or without "special needs." Darren is very gregarious, and during the "virus" time, when ARC was closed, he became very bored. We are so happy that he is able to attend ARC again!

Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services, Job Training
Mission: The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetime.
Target demographics: The Arc of Central Virginia provides opportunities for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to experience life to the fullest. We empower adults with disabilities to design the kind of life that they want to live. While The Arc of Central Virginia helps people find volunteer and employment opportunities, we also provide access to recreational and social activities. Our goal is for The Arc of Central Virginia participants to be fully included and valued members of their community.
Geographic areas served: Serving the Greater Lynchburg Area
Programs: Day Support, Community Engagement, Peer Mentoring, and Supported Employment.
