Mission: Advocacy organization for persons with mental retardation and development disabilities. Arc assists with projects & activities to promote age appropriate social skills & independent living.
Programs: Approximately 250 clients with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities are served in north carolina counties of beaufort and hyde. Assistance is provided to these individuals to empower them to make their own choices and decisions. The arc also assists with medical and personal needs when funding cannot be found or has been eliminated due to budget cuts in state funding. Activities such as special olympics and special day camp are provided to the individuals.
