Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Service Organizations, Human Services, Job Training
Mission: The Arc of Arapahoe & Douglas uses advocacy and education to include all children and adults with disabilities and their families in their communities.
Programs: This year in our individual advocacy program we were able to assist 170 children or adults with developmental disabilities and their families who were new to our organization. Additionally, we assisted 2,914 with individual advocacy. On average, our organization provides advocacy for 248 children and adults with disabilities and their family members per month. This year we supported 531 people with disabilities and their family members with education and counseling. We sponsored seven different educational programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (idd) and their family members this year.
