I first got involved with Appalachia Service Project as a youth volunteer, and went on to work for them full-time. ASP gives real, tangible ways to live our your faith and serve others through home repair. ASP stands by their work and will make sure that all applicants are satisfied; something I've seen time and time again over the years. There are great ways to serve during a summer mission trip, or throughout the year in fall/spring break. ASP provides emergency home repair, home replacement, and disaster recovery - having built well over 150 homes in the last decade! Would highly recommend.

I started volunteering with ASP in 1996. Because of the experiences I had volunteering with them, I changed my major in college, changed my career goals, and went on to work in the social service sector. I have since founded a national network of home repair nonprofits like ASP in order to further support their work. ASP changes lives of low-income families and of volunteers!

My family has no home because of these people workedon our home and never finished what they started. They told us they would come back and fix the mess they made but almost 3 years later show up and say all we can do is give you4500 dollars. How disrespectfull of them to value a completely fine home that our family was raised in at 4500 dollars. I could not even begin to repair what A.S.P done to our home. These people will burn in hell for destroying the only thing our kids had. 4500 to replace floors bathroom walls roof and a complete gut out of two bedrooms. Our home was fine until they come along.they claim to be giving us more room for our kids but they destroyed the only thing the kids had.now we have to watch our home fall apart.the mold and water keeps coming in. These people destroyed our lives and have no remorse. If I ever see any of them I ask them how it feels to make people homeless. 3 beautiful kids and a devoted mother who has had there life completely destroyed because i allowed them to work on our home.my name is Gareth Caldwell and I live in hazard Kentucky if you want to see what this non profit has done to us give me a call at 606-767-2431. I would love to show everyone what they have done to our home. The local news in our area will coming to do a story on A.S.P. People need to know that they use our homes as a way to gain donations for there pockets. I repeat do not let them touch your home. I am going to show everyone what A.S.P is truly about. It sure isn't about making your home better
