Mission: The mission of the AORN Foundation is to empower perioperative nurses in advancing patient and workplace safety through education and research.
Target demographics: The AORN Foundation is here to support your professional goals and help you maintain evidence-based knowledge and competencies for providing quality care to your patients. We provide funding for academic scholarships and grants, as well as support for continuing education and certifications, and evidence-based research to advance the practice.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 107 outstanding nurses and nursing students with academic scholarships for the 2022-2023 school year, 120 nurses received Professional Development Grants for assistance in CNOR, CSSM, and CNAMB certification, 733 membership grants were provided to support professional development, 178 Expo attendees received financial assistance for their attendance.
Geographic areas served: The AORN Foundation is a national public, tax-exempt, charitable organization headquartered in Denver, CO dedicated to supporting nurses who make surgery safe.
