Mission: Anuguna was formed by a group of individuals who believe that education is the key to development, not only of an individual but also of the society. We are dedicated to bringing change to India by providing means to education to children in rural India, one child at a time.
Education is a fundamental right to every child until the age of 14 as per the Constitution of India. However, multiple studies have pointed out that many students are denied this basic right. For instance, in our home state of Andhra Pradesh more than 50% of rural children who join Grade 1 drop out of school by the time they turn 15.
We have made a humble beginning to reverse this trend by initiating our efforts to provide monetary and moral support to children who desire to continue their education. Our specific objectives are to:
- Provide means of education to underprivileged children in rural India
- When possible, address other needs addressing quality of life such as healthcare for the elderly and response to natural disasters
