Mission: Our Mission is to provide a safe and supportive sober-living environment for men pursuing a 12-step program of recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. Recovery from addiction and alcoholism is possible. Community is one of the primary benefits of our program at the “Power House”. Our ability to provide a constant source of support and encouragement, which is available at all times, from our dedicated Recovery Staff which live at the residence, along with our method of maintaining accountability with peer-to-peer reinforcement techniques, develops a greater feeling of success, security and belonging. We understand the concept that we share much in common with each other. “We all share a common peril, and a common solution which, in-turn, allows us to have a common journey! We are not alone any longer.”
Results: The Power House Recovery Center provides a heralded, low-cost recovery program that has served more than 400 residents since origin. Though the end of 2014, 274 of the 405 residents successfully completed the nationally recognized “Back to Basics©” 12-step course. Most of these men also successfully completed the complementary “Beyond the Basics©” program, which includes 12-step oriented workshops and PowerPoint motivational presentations based on a more in-depth study of the text, Alcoholics Anonymous. Power House leaders developed “Beyond the Basics©” in-house, honing the presentation over a number of years. "We are an organization of men who have discovered a new design of living that really works! We believe that a life free from alcoholism and drug-addiction is possible for all who are suffering. We believe that we have an answer for the broken and lost. We are men from all walks of life, young and old, rich and poor, sharing our experience, strength and hope with the new man, so that he too may join us on our journey of recovery".

Programs: The Power House Recovery Center L.L.C. is a Texas Nonprofit Corporation recognized and certified by the National Alliance of Recovery Residences. Founded in 2009 by Kenneth J Laney the Power House has become the premier sober-living facility in Southeast Texas. With the capacity of up to 24 program participants we have designed our community to offer the very best. The management staff and residents welcome all who wish to join us as we discover the solution to the problem of alcoholism and drug addiction. It is our hope that men needing help will find the answers that they have been seeking here with us at the Power House Recover Center. Our facility is a safe, and secure place to begin, or renew efforts to regain and take back their lives from the grips of drug addiction and alcoholism.
