Mission: Free healthcare for low-income uninsured
Programs: Medical program - ann silverman community health clinic provides free medical care, diagnostic testing and medication assistance to low-income, uninsured adults and children living in bucks county. As of june 30, 2017, the clinic has cared for over 18,108 adults and children in the medical program. In fy16-17, there were 3,411 medical patient visits provided to 1,076 patients including 382 new patients at our clinic located in doylestown hospital. More than 452 additional medical services were provided by 66 offsite specialists and specialist practices in the community. The clinic also processed 252 prescription assistance applications for medications needed by our patients.
dental program - dental services are provided both onsite and through our network of 40 community volunteer dentists. Since the program began in 2002, the clinic has provided 10,627 treatment visits to 2,315 adults and children. In fy16-17, 1,173 treatment services and 221 hygiene services were provided to 422 adults and children, an increase of 42% over the previous fiscal year.
social services - all patients are interviewed by a case manager upon entry to the clinic's programs. Patients are assessed for eligibility for our clinic as well as eligibility for other community services, such as low cost insurance. They receive assistance in enrolling in other services as applicable. In fy16-17, there were 1,146 social service visits provided by staff and volunteers. Of these, 700 were for clinic eligibility. There were 137 short term therapy and counseling visits provided. There were 309 benefit applications completed for free and low cost government programs such as health insurances, food stamps, heat assistance and so forth.
