I have been volunteering with the AWLFC for a couple years. The cats and dogs in our family are all rescues, so I was impressed with the AWLFC's mission and passion. Words cannot adequately define the dedication and experience of the volunteers; women and men of all backgrounds who work tirelessly, 24/7 on behalf of homeless pets. I am proud to contribute through a modest role, in pursuit of their vision of no more homeless pets in Frederick County, MD. Today is the 1 year anniversary of our fostering an overweight 8 year old cat AWLFC plucked from a probable death sentence at a shelter. Bonny, a.k.a. Bonkers, was so happy, she quickly slimmed down and went on to officially adopt us 3 months later. Individuals, businesses, vets and community organizations generously support the AWLFC, but we always need foster homes and volunteers. Please consider joining or donating to this awesome all volunteer, no kill non-profit rescue.
