Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: Animal Town Sanctuary & Farm is a 501-C3 non profit organization founded in 2012. Our mission statement is to rescue un-adoptable Siberian Huskies and Malamutes and let them live out the rest of their natural lives in a stress free and natural environment on our 4 acre organic lavender ranch. All of our rescues are senior, special needs, and/or hospice residents. These animals have all been rescued from high kill shelters in San Diego, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties. Unlike traditional shelters that emphasize adoption, the primary purpose of Animal Town Sanctuary, is to provide a lifetime of rehabilitation, care, and sheltering for these animals. Not only do we rescue dogs, but we also have rescued feral cats, two pairs of bonded desert tortoises, a Sulcata tortoise, and chickens. Our setting consists of a large, climate controlled ranch house, surrounded by 4 acres of fenced in lawn, fruit trees, lavender fields, native sage gardens, and shade trees. There are no cages and the animals are free to move about, interacting with each other. We enjoy sharing our animal experiences and promoting animal education and habitat restoration to the public. Our sanctuary staff has many years of experience with holistic cancer treatments, reverse osmosis water, specialized diets, natural foods, canine supplements, aroma and music therapy. Our rehabilitation efforts and treatments are aimed at improving an animal’s quality of life. We also provide 24 hour around the clock, End of Life Care for all of our rescues. We always emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering your pet and reporting animal abuse. With your support, Animal Town Sanctuary will be able to continue its mission.
