The staff and volunteers at ARC are second to none. Their dedication and compassion for all the animals is truly extraordinary. As a volunteer, I witnessed this firsthand, and you can view their numerous rescues online. Without their efforts many animals in dire situations would not have had a chance to be saved. Since I am no longer able to volunteer, I support their worthy lifesaving efforts through donation. I urge you to also support this organization in any way you can.
I love coming to volunteer here. The volunteers are great people who want to help these animals recover from their horrific past, and they all do with time. The animals need to learn to trust humans again, to do this they need people to give them their love, time, and attention, and it's amazing to watch their attitudes turn around. I enjoy volunteering here. There's a good feeling environment and all the animals are sweet though frazzled.
where do I start with Animal Rescue Corps... from the moment you arrive to volunteer at their facility in Nashville you are greeted with warmth and kindness by everyone involved with this wonderful organization, making you feel immediately a part of the pack. Their compassion shines through in all of their missions saving animals, from the initial rescue in often horrifying situations to the extended love and care provided to get these amazing souls to a better place. Even though their facility is a bit far from me (I'm in Massachusetts) I WILL BE BACK to help the next chance I get - primarily for the animals, but in no small part because of the amazing friendships I've made with everyone there...
I manage a non-profit out of Texas and one of our programs is working in Disaster Response. I was grateful to go to ARC last year and volunteer for 15 shifts with this amazing group. I have worked at dozens of facilities and this group is really setting the bar high in their devotion to animals in need. Could not recommend them more.
We have been supporting ARC for nearly a decade, and they have become one of the main charities we support every year. They are super transparent, they provide updates regularly with photos demonstrating exactly where our money goes - a new truck for transporting animals, a new HQ trailer, and so so many animals who have nobody else to help them. I would prefer to live in a world where this charity isn’t needed to fill the gaps between local services, but in the meantime, I hope to volunteer with them one day, and take their training if it’s ever again offered in Canada.
Animal Rescue Corps works tirelessly to transform the lives of animals who have suffered horrific conditions of abuse and neglect. As a volunteer, I have witnessed animals come into the shelter matted, dirty, starving, injured, and terrified. And I have watched ARC work tirelessly to give each of these animals food, grooming, medical care, a clean and spacious resting place while they recover -- and most of all, to give them the love and compassion that will help these animals learn to trust the world again and move into a beautiful new life in a loving forever home. As a volunteer at ARC, I can hardly describe the joy and satisfaction I feel when a dog, who has known only cruelty in its life, finally has the courage to accept a treat from my hand. It is a great victory and I know I have done one small part to help this animal achieve a better life. Animal Rescue Corps is an incredible nonprofit doing important, loving, compassionate work that is so necessary in our world.
I had participated in a puppy mill bust in 2014-Operation Liberty Dog. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Now that I live in Tennessee I have been to the shelter in Gallatin to help care for the animals. Each time I am there I am amazed at how well the rescue is run. It is always a heartwarming and fulfilling experience to be part of and I can not wait to go back.
I have been volunteering with Animal Rescue Corp for years. I have volunteered with various organizations over the years, but I have never seen one as dedicated as Animal Rescue Corps! The entire staff is truly selfless, and often goes from months and months without a day off so they can take care of animals! Within the past year, they had a rescue that was many feral dogs living on a mountain. They literally had to make several trips, out of state, to go back and forth to make sure they caught every single dog. I know that in other rescues, they have saved animals down to the smallest mouse if that is what was needed. They are often needed in places where there is NO animal control and NO resources. Had ARC not stepped up, many animals would have lost their lives! Everyone at ARC does their job with love and compassion, and always a smile on their face! What is truly amazing is that they are able to do what they do just with donations and volunteers. This is an amazing organization!
The ARC addresses a great need both in our community and nationwide. Animals, which are removed by law enforcement from some of the most neglectful and abusive situations, are provided with the resources and care that they direly need. We are so lucky to have the ARC providing their services nationwide! I will continue to volunteer my time and resources to this organization.
I have been a volunteer for Animal Rescue Corps for about 8 years now and am constantly astounded at the amazing work they do. They go above and beyond to get animals out of horrendous conditions and into loving homes. They work tirelessly to achieve this goal. Tim Woodward and Michael Cunningham are true heroes and a gift to this country for the amazing work they have done and will continue to do. No case is too bad or too time-consuming. They give their all. And they make people like me want to volunteer and give all we can in return.
The wings on the ARC logo say it all: the leadership and volunteers of Animal Rescue Corps are angels amongst us and guardian angels of the horribly mistreated animals they rescue, rehabilitate, and insure they all eventually find safe, loving, permanent homes. Their work is unending, often heartbreaking, and always stressful yet they readily step up when their services are needed, regardless of how far they have to travel to do so. It is a privilege to be able to volunteer for ARC.
ARC does incredible work and I'm happy to have supported them for many years now. The ARC team has stepped in time and time again to rescue animals living in dangerous conditions. They also do additional work via partnering with other rescues to get animals relocated in hopes of finding forever homes. Love this organization and will continue to support them with donations from out of state.
I have volunteered with Animal Rescue Corp and I am honored to do so. The tireless work of the staff is impressive but even more, so worthwhile. To see where these animals are rescued from to where they are when it is time for them to move on to the placement partners is nothing short of a miracle. Without Animal Rescue Corp so many more animals would suffer and die at the hands of cruel humans through over breeding and neglect. They make me believe that there really are Angels here on earth.
What I know about this organization is their tireless efforts to rescue animals from horrific conditions like puppy mills or even abandoned animals. They are truly caring and genuine in their hard work to take on some who are badly ailing and unkempt. They’ve even agreed to accommodate some very large cases of neglect that other organizations can’t handle even though it presents financial difficulties to feed and house and often involves legal situations. They are gifted to have many, many devoted volunteers who provide hours of their time to cleaning, walking, feeding, brushing, holding the animals and then there are the veterinarians and groomers who donate their time also. Even with all this “free help” there is still a huge need for things that they can’t afford like commercial washers and dryers and fencing for the dogs to be able to enjoy some outside activities. I’m sure there are a number of other necessities that are needed that would be of great help but are not within their budget. How the small paid staff can keep up the 24/7 heavy workload is another remarkable characteristic of this organization. Thank goodness they exist to bring help and aid to so many mistreated animals!
This group of volunteers is one of the best I have worked with. At 86 years old, my experience is varied in the area of volunteers but this group is great to work with and is very hard working.
I've been volunteering at Animal Rescue Corps for about 6 months now. Besides having saved the lives of 100's of dogs and cats during that time, I'm constantly impressed with how efficient the organization operates. It's a huge operation.
The staff and the volunteers are the most loving, compassionate and friendly people I've ever encountered in any organization or business I've been associated with.

I am just amazed at the number of animals they help. I come and just help out but there are vans full of animals with crates and carries that have to be ready to transport. It is a massive effort. Then they come in and are cared for after neglect. Each animal that comes in has a nice clean kennel, blanket, toys water dish. There was never a lack of supplies in fact impressed by how much. Volunteers had a large break area and the amount of snacks and food being shared was overwhelming. I only wish they were closer to help out more.
I have supported ARC for many years (through monetary donations or volunteering with them on several rescue operations) when the facility was located in Lebanon, TN. Unfortunately, since they moved to Gallatin, it is too far for me to drive at this time.
I have always been extremely impressed with how organized they are, and of course the people who work with ARC are some of the friendliest, most compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The people who come in to volunteer, are also some of the absolute best people too!
I truly enjoyed every day I was able to volunteer with this amazing organization. Some of it can be physically labor intensive, but seeing those animals finally open up to loving care (for the first time ever in their lives, for many of them) it just makes all the hard work so worth it.
One of my fondest memories was helping out over my Thanksgiving break (from my full-time job as an ultrasound tech at a very bust clinic) was when the ARC employees had a beautiful surprise Thanksgiving feast of delicious vegan/ vegetarian food for everyone to enjoy together over the lunch break!
That's the kind of people ARC is made of ~ compassionate, professional, friendly, and always welcoming.
Sincerely,
Laura Hoopes
Being able to play a role in saving animals from terrible situations and ushering them into their new, better lives is so rewarding.
Animal Rescue Corps has made me feel so grateful for the work they do. I have seen the effort and countless hours they put it in to save the poor souls that have been severely neglected and mistreated. It is truly and honor to volunteer with ARC to help the animals that are considered property. Watching first hand the slow transformation from terrified and unsure to happy, confident and proud. Thank you ARC for all that you do. Hopefully, the laws will be more humane in the future.
Gratefully,
Josh Schafer
Animal Rescue Corps is a wonderful organization and I am so grateful for them! They rescued our precious dog Ellie from a backyard breeding situation. She and many other dogs were neglected, living in horrendous conditions without food, water and proper medical care. We recently adopted Ellie and she is the love of our lives. She is thriving, gaining much needed weight and resting comfortably in a loving home. If it weren't for the Animal Rescue Corps saving her life, we would not have been able to adopt her and bring her into our home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ARC!!!❤️
I have been volunteering with ARC for 5 months now, and can truly say it is a well run, compassionate organization! The volunteers are hard working, animal loving people, and are treated with appreciation and respect.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE organization. I have never seen such kindness, compassion, and PASSION put towards doggos. They are so wonderful to new volunteers, and you can tell how amazing they are to the dogs in their care. My first volunteer shift, I was emotional, and the owner told me - "Don't be sad, their worst days are over now"! What a phenomenal way to look at rescues. I am not able to volunteer as much as I like because I work a 9-5, but everytime I go, I leave with a smile on my face!
I’d never volunteered with animals before, but their need was eminent so I went with big reservations. If these poor animals were being exploited and not cared for properly, what would I do? What a HUGE surprise and relief‼️. This was a very impressive organization…they even had an animal nursery with rocking chairs❤️. Plenty of food and supplies, but most impressive was how clean, especially under the circumstances…they even had washers and dryers and areas to allow animals to run freely. Each animal had a clean cage and a chart to verify the care received each day and a place to note any concerns. The permanent staff are dedicated and knowledgeable and do a phenomenal job. Volunteers become friends and share helpful hints on the personality of the animals. ARC is the standard for this type of animal rescue and rehab.
They came to the rescue in our small town who desperately needed the help. We had a local hoarding case of 60+ dogs who had been neglected and tethered, only used for breeding and in horrible shape. We had reached out for help everywhere but Animal Rescue Corps were the only ones to swoop in and save the day.
As a certified professional dog trainer, I was very impressed with the professionalism, kindness, teamwork, and knowledge about handling each dog with care and the entire situation at hand.
I volunteered along side them, and it was a glorious day I will never forget. And I know those dogs will never forget the day they were saved, either.
I am a volunteer with Animal Rescue Corps and this organization has helped thousands of animals since I began my volunteer journey with them a little over three years ago. ARC rescues animals in the most extreme horrible situations imaginable. These animals then get all the care and rehabilitation they need while they are with us. When they are ready, they go to highly screened adoption partners where they eventually find their loving forever homes. Without ARC, these precious animals would still be suffering instead of finding loving homes. The staff and other volunteers I have met and gotten to know are wonderful people who care deeply about the animals and do everything possible to make sure the animals' needs are met and then some. I am very proud to be an ARC volunteer.

I am honored to be a volunteer with Animal Rescue Corps. This rescue group has saved thousands of animals and each and every animal is treated with a lot of love and compassion. No matter what the animal needs, whether it is medical care, rehabilitation, or just some companionship and being loved, the staff and volunteers provide it until it is time for the animals to move on to the next phase of their journey to a forever home. The service Animal Rescue Corps provides is so important.
Animal Rescue Corps is the most selfless and giving organization. The love for each and every animal is felt by the animals and volunteers alike. I was watching the news one day and saw a story about a hoarding situation that they did and knew I just had help. ARC has changed my life for the better just as they do for the animals. Being able to be even a small part of this wonderful organization is such a gift. I am so grateful for the work they do, they are all real life angels on earth!
I have had the privilege of helping Animal Rescue Corps Inc twice this past 9 months and I have great respect for the organization and for the team work there. I flew in from Alaska the first time and from Mexico the second time. The trip in March I stayed for 11 days and helped care for about 80 moms/babies, 21 litters of puppers. (I think there were a total of around 270 animals there at the time.) They have great relationships with many rescues in the lower 48, who take over after ARC wins custody fo the animals, in order to get them spay/neutered and fostered to adoption. Lots of work, but the rewards are great! I love that Michael and Tim, founders, are straightshooters and have no problem speaking the truth good or bad. They are very appreciative of their volunteers who have helped them save thousands of dogs, cats and other animals in horrendous situations. They have minimal paid staff, maybe 7?, and have been able to save thousands of God's creatures all over different areas of North America who have been abused, puppy millers, hoarding situation, neglected...and the list goes on.Can't wait to get back to help again! Much respect to ARC!!! (The pics were from a celebrated 4:00am pack up the vans, we're moving on to our next step in finding our forever homes! No permission to use other people's faces, so the pics with faces are me!)
I volunteered helping the medical intakes while living in TN. I WILL be back when I move back up in a few years. I miss helping out. I'll be partially retired on my return and have more time.
There are very few organizations who are equipped and trained to work with local law enforcement agencies on a regional basis to end the cruelty and suffering caused by puppy mills and hoarders. The dedication of Animal Rescue Corps to its mission of ending animal suffering by helping eliminate hoarding and shut down puppy mills has saved thousands and thousands of animals from a life of abuse and torment. They don’t say no. They make it happen. There is no one else to turn to, and this skilled and passionate group have responded to heart wrenching and horrifying situations in the middle of the night. They also work with trusted animal rescue partners to place these animals once they are healthy and ready to go. I am awed by their love, knowledge, and hard work! they also are extraordinarily good to their volunteers
I have volunteered at several animal rescue facilities over the years and ARC is the very best by far!!
The hard work and compassion this group has is outstanding. I helped clean cages, feed animals, socialize with them and the difference in these animals from when they arrive to when they are released to be adopted is beyond amazing. I saw dogs cowering in the corner and shivering initially to running to the front of the cage to get petted after the love and care given by the staff and volunteers in this organization. What they face as they rescue animals is many times horrific and the results they achieve in rehabilitating these animals is amazing. ARC is extremely well run at the Tennessee facility and I have always been impressed by what they are able to do. Our community group selected this group as our "Charity of the Year" last year and provided both cash and product donations to them knowing that the contributions would be put to the best use. Just can't say enough about the outstanding job this organization does!!!!!!!!!
I’ve volunteered with this company and brought others to volunteer as well and it’s honestly so rewarding to see the impact they make in the lives of animals that all come from cruelty or hoarding situations where they’ve never experienced being loved or treated with kindness. This place is so generous and protective of the wellbeing of their animals. You have to do an orientation where they teach you what they do and why they do it and ensure that your actions are all for the safety of their animals. At any given time they can have hundreds of animals in need and even if they don’t have enough volunteers they don’t stop helping and they work tirelessly to ensure the animals are cared for properly. I am so proud to be part of American rescue corps.
Since I began volunteering with Animal Rescue Corps last November (2023), I have been involved in protecting and caring animals from all over our region. My work has included participating in an emergency animal rescue, providing day-to-day care of the animals in housed as well as transport of these animals to partner agencies. These experiences have allowed me to see the profound impact that dedicated rescue efforts can have, and I've been very proud to support the organization’s mission of ensuring the safety and well-being of animals in need. Animal Rescue Corps is a top-notch organization from top to bottom.
I'm a senior "dog mom" and saw a local news story of over 200 puppy mill dogs being relocated to a rescue center about a 1/2 hour drive from me. Did a little research and found out ARC was sheltering the animals. Went to their website and signed up to be a volunteer. The staff and volunteers are wonderful, caring animal lovers who do what they can for these traumatized animals and try to show them that not all humans are heartless and uncaring.
I've been looking for a volunteer opportunity like Animal Rescue Corps for a while. When I found them I knew it it was the place I'd been looking for. The care for every animal and person who comes through the door is amazing. Knowing that we are doing right by these animals is something that just warms the soul.
My life has been a bit crazy this year. My husband was in and out of the hospital 4 times in 4 months, with the last time resulting in a heart transplant. Needless to say my anxiety has been high. We are so thankful for his gift. Knowing that my husband is healing and doing very well I needed to find something that helped me heal too. I spent the last part of my time off work at ARC. The time spent there was so healing for me. I found that giving just a bit of my time to these animals who are so full of love helped ease my anxiety. I'm so thankful for all the life saving efforts ARC brings to those in need and their efforts to aid law enforcement.
I've volunteered with ARC on several occasions. They do fantastic work! They make sure all of the animals are taken care of and loved while in their care, before moving on to their adoption partners, so they can find their forever homes.
Volunteering with ARC is always a special time! I’ve always felt welcomed by the staff/volunteers. They take care of their volunteers as well with drinks and food. The animals are very well taken care of and the person in charge does a nice job explaining what the volunteers should be doing. I’ve always been impressed with this organization and they do amazing work for animals in need!
I volunteered to help shave down miniature schnauzers they rescued. There was about 200 of them in their care that they rescued from been neglected. This organization goes above and beyond to help animals! It was so rewarding being apart of what they do.
Animal Rescue Corps staff and volunteers truly exemplify what compassion in action truly means. They walk the walk and talk the talk each and every day. I’ve volunteered and donated for several years. I truly love the commitment of their rescue, rehabilitation, and partnership with placement partners in finding forever homes for these innocent animals in need. I highly recommend adding Animal Rescue Corps to your list via volunteering, donating or adopting. You will be glad you did!
What a great experience to be able to help these sweet animals find a good home. It is a joy to love on them. They a starving for human affection and a steady nutritious diet along with good shelter. There are so many that need a good home to be adopted into. It takes a lot of volunteers and monetary contributions to keep this very caring charity going. If you are animal lover, consider volunteering or giving to support the cause. I have received great reward by being a part of this organization.
The ARC is an amazing organization made up of caring people. Every animal that is touched by ARC is shown so much love and compassion and they are given a chance that they wouldn't have otherwise for a great life. The conditions many of the animals are pulled from is horrific. Without the work of the Animal Rescue Corps, these animals would die. I have volunteered with them for about a year and it is the most rewarding work. I love giving these precious animals love and helping be a part of their opportunity for new life. I have volunteered with several rescues, and ARC treats their volunteers like family. I love everything about this organization and the work they do.
It's so nice to be able to help the animals here. They are in desperate need for love and help getting back into shape. It's such a great way to give back to a non profit. Please take time to help out here .
My family moved from FL to TN a year ago where we knew no one. I work remote and my husband travels during the week. I wanted to find a way to get out and contribute in some way while also getting to meet new people. I saw a request for help by ARC on Facebook and immediately applied. My experience previously with finding volunteer work was not great, whether it was the communication or schedule, but I got all the info from ARC needed immediately and worked my first shift the next weekend. I convinced my husband to come along. I was shocked. I pictured neglected and abused animals who were aggressive and fearful. I found instead the most loving and grateful animals who wanted nothing more than unconditional love. The work can be hard and exhausting, especially in the hotter months, but everytime I leave, an empty space in my heart is filled. I have always loved animals but this work has given me a new respect for those whose dedicate their lives to saving animals. I have immense respect for ARC and can see the animals they help change before my eyes. I only wish I had more time to volunteer and cannot wait for the days when that is possible. For now, I look forward to any weekend when I can spend a little time with those babies, getting sweaty and dirty and showered with animal kisses. I urge everyone with a love for animals to just jump in and give it a shot. You will not regret it.
ARC is an amazing rescue , I’ve known of them for many, many years . My husband and I have even volunteered in the past , we’ve seen their wonderful dedication to helping animals that are in such desperate need. They work endlessly providing assistance and love to so many forgotten, abused and neglected animals .
They are more than a 5 Star Rating if we could give it. So many have been helped by this wonderful organization, we donate when we can. THANK YOU FOR HELPING THOSE WITH NO VOICE , and NO CHOICE!
Keep up the great work each and everyone does .
BLESS YOU ALL!
Peggy and Bob Larimore
I volunteer and see all people do a great job helping the animals showing compassion, empathy and love. ❤️
As an out of state volunteer to ARC, I didn't know what to expect the first time.
I was incredibly moved to see what an efficient, compassionate organization this was! It took chaos and turned it into care. These animals came from terrible situations, and this was giving them that big step in a transition towards a chance for a better future.
I just randomly had something about Animal Rescue Corps pop up on Facebook and how they needed volunteers after an influx of animals coming in. I wasn't familiar with this organization, but since it was helping animals and my schedule lined up with a few days they needed volunteers I thought perhaps I could help. I filled out the application online, the process was easy and because I was available I was able to go and help the very next day. After a short orientation I learned about what this organization does. I was so grateful to learn that they exist. They animals are from hoarding situations and puppy mills. Animals that need somewhere to go when the law has gotten involved. Normally when I go in a shelter I feel like the animals are "in jail" and it makes me sad and I want to adopt all of them if I could. This is different, even though the animals are in cages, I couldn't be sad, because I knew these animals were in a better place than they came from, that their lives were changing for the better and that they were finally in a place that was helping them through the next steps to finally live the lives they all deserve. Everyone was very friendly and cares about these animals. Organizations like this are so very needed and I am thankful for them. I had a great experience and look forward to the next time I go to volunteer again. Thank you to everyone at Animal Rescue Corps Inc for everything you do.
I was looking for an organization to volunteer with. I found ARC several years ago and they changed my life. The work they do to save animals from that situation is truly amazing and the volunteers are angels. The organization has helped countless animals live amazing lives after being rescued and I am truly honored to be part of that mission. Even though I work full-time, I volunteer whenever I can so that the good work they do can continue. Every single animal counts. The compassion and care the staff and all volunteers show for all of these animals goes beyond words.
While I was the director of a municipal animal shelter in Hardin County Tennessee we were able to save HUNDREDS of animals from nightmare conditions, that we wouldn’t have been able to save, if not for Animal Rescue Corps!
What a great group of people helping animals! Kind, compassionate people who go where there are animals in great need, put in the hard work of rescuing them, provide them with care, and send them off to placement partners for a new life.
After moving to TN, I was looking for an organization I could get involved in, learn more about, and do all I could to add to there success. Animal Rescue Corp has been the perfect fit. Every person involved with ARC is professional. Each animal, operation, and volunteer are valued and treated with respect. Everyone involved works as a team to keep, the rescue clean, the animals healthy and loved, as well as keeping moralein the rescue high. I feel fortunate to have found an organization that coincides with my morals and values not only for the way animals should be treated, but the way humans should be treated too. Thank you ARC for allowing me to be a part of your organization. It is a rewarding experience to see that first little tail wag.

ARC is an amazing rescue organization! I’ve worked with them for the past ten years as a volunteer. What you see is a group of dedicated people doing whatever it takes to provide comfort and care to the animals involved. They have rescued and cared for everything between monkeys and mice. The center is always evolving as the needs of the animals change. The leaders of ARC are involved in every aspect and always listen to ideas of everyone involved with only the best interest of the animals at heart. Volunteering with ARC will make you a better person. Loving and caring for all the precious animals will feed your soul. #adoptdontshop
I have been volunteering with ARC since 2018. After volunteering just one day I knew I found a special place and very special people. I have learned and gained so much experience working with ARC. Everyone is very friendly, compassionate and animal lovers who want to make lives better for all the animals who come through the shelter.
I intermittently volunteer for this wonderful rescue! ARC is so very well organized, CLEAN and the animals receive constant attention, food, medical care and love! The leadership team is beyond dedicated and driven and are soulful animal lovers that know exactly what they’re doing.
ARC is phenomenal!
Great organization. Well managed. The animals rescued are taken care of and the facilities are clean. Great volunteers and a wonderful environment with positive results for the rescued animals.
This places is awesome! I love volunteering there. Everyone is so nice. I have been volunteering here for 6 years now.
I am a volunteer with the Animal Rescue Corps. I am honored to be working with the most amazing people I know. They go above and beyond to help all animals in need. From goldfish to horses and every size of animal in between. ARC people have the biggest hearts and are the kindest people. They will always do everything they can to help rescue, rehab, and offer these animals a second chance at life. The animals are so broken and beaten down when ARC arrives. ARC people spend quality time with each and every animal in their care. They go out of their way to make sure the animals are able to trust humans. It's an amazing feeling when an animal who never trusted humans, finally begins to trust and lets you pet them or get close to them. When a frightened, untrusting animal offers you their paw, there are no words that can describe the feeling.
I volunteered with Animal Rescue Corp as a groomer for years, from the minute I went to the first facility I fell in love with not only the animals but the people too. Day in and day out I saw people who committed their life to helping animals in need, their compassion did not just stop with the animals, the compassion they have to helping people as well is unmatched. "Compassion in Action," is not just a motto for them it is a lifestyle, you see them use this in their daily lives. I have two animals that I adopted from ARC's adoption partners and they have saved my heart, to see where they came from, having all of their medical needs taken care of, the love they received from everyone at ARC, to being adopted by myself their journey and story is just incredible, these animals knew for the first time love, compassion, and safety the minute ARC saved them. That is the most important thing I have seen from ARC and its volunteers, it is all about safety, compassion and love, every animal that they come into contact with. ARC saves lives, no matter how small or how big, every life matters to them. No animal left behind. Thank you for all that you do every single day, and the countless sacrifices you all make.
I have volunteered with Animal Rescue Corps for over 6 years. I love their mission, the people managing it and the dedication to saving all the animals. No animal is left behind.
I have been a proud volunteer with ARC for the past year, and it has been one the most heartwarming thing I have ever done. Animal Rescue Corps’ mission is to end animal suffering through direct and compassionate action, and to inspire the highest ethical standards of humanity towards animals. We conduct rescues of animals who fall victim to abuse and natural disaster.
2019 & 2020 have been rescue after rescue, with the hurricanes, overcrowded shelters, and horrible abuse cases. In "Operation Feline Freedom", we rescued 100 cats from a hoarding situation, all living inside a 1200 sq. ft. house (one came home with me after a month of medical care - see his "before & after pictures below!). They all arrived with various medical conditions and lack of nutrition, but have all successfully been placed with new families.
We worked together with law enforcement on "Operation Caged Hell" and saved over 200 dogs, cats and rodents that received medical care, fresh food, water & clean beds while in our care as we worked tirelessly with our partners to place them in foster homes, shelters, and sanctuaries. We rescued over 165 senior dogs from an overcrowded sanctuary on "Operation Seniors Saved" - they were treated by our medical team, loved on by our volunteers and successfully placed in new homes. We recently rescued group after group of animals affected by the hurricane damage in Louisiana and Alabama, bringing them to the facility in Middle Tennessee for medical/ nutrition care and warm housing while we worked tirelessly to find them forever homes. The need is non-stop, and we never say no...
In a recent case, Operation Last Wish, ARC responded to an urgent request for assistance for animals that had been left alone in a home when their guardian was hospitalized with a serious illness. The homeowner is unlikely to return home or ever be able to care for the animals again and has surrendered the animals to our care. Fifteen dogs, mostly Pomeranians, and one cat were found living in and around a home in desperate conditions. All of the dogs exhibited signs of neglect, poor nutrition, internal and external parasites, dental disease, skin conditions, fur loss, and cataracts among other health concerns.
Every animal has received through veterinary exams, medical grooming and all necessary medical treatments. In addition, they are receiving tons of love and attention from our compassionate volunteers. ARC will continue to provide daily care until they can be transferred to shelter and rescue organizations that will place them into loving forever homes. Animal Rescue Corps' Executive Director Tim Woodward notes: "Thankfully this woman had several friends who were able to seek help for the animals and care for them until ARC could arrive. this is a strong reminder how important it is to plan for the care of your companion animals in your end-of-life planning or in the event of an unexpected emergency."
We work closely with government institutions, law enforcement agencies, other animal protection organizations, and communities to improve and strengthen relationships between humans and animals. Animal Rescue Corps seeks to inspire a fundamental idea: that our responsibility to animals is vital, and all lives have value. This ideal benefits us all in many ways — our physical safety, our economic systems, our mental health, our emotional well-being and our environment.
ARC brings the professional expertise, human resources, tactical equipment, and financial backing necessary for its rescue operations, including investigations and permanent placements. ARC works with communities that don’t have the resources to confront the cruelty themselves, especially when large numbers of suffering animals are involved.
ARC further addresses animal cruelty by generating public awareness, training volunteers, increasing community involvement and other measurable actions. Ultimately, ARC works within the legal system to affect lasting change from the inside out.
Animal Rescue Corps is unique because of its streamlined internal structure and its well-proven methods of external operations. Efficiency, effectiveness and expertise make ARC a leader in rescuing animals and serving communities.
“When it's bad, what do you do?” said ARC's Michael Cunningham, “You call Animal Rescue Corps, we are that resource to help when there is no one else!”
Please watch the last video "From Noah's Ark to Storm's End", the story of 191 animals rescued from a cruel breeder/puppy mill situation. It took over a year to win the case, but the results were a complete success.
Just worked several days with this group during Operation Resolution. They completed 5 rescues in 3 days totaling over 140 animals including dogs, cats, mice and a pig. This is the third time I have volunteered with them and hate that I can't do it more often. They are an amazing group of people that are extremely compassionate about their work saving the neglected and abused animals in this country.
Can not believe no one has written a review on this absolutely wonderful and crucial org! Scotlund Haisley is the founder/pres. and i would follow him to the ends of the earth for all that he does for animals every day, every second! These wonderful people who volunteer with this group go to the most harrowing places around the country and rescue these pitiful animals (mostly puppy mills!) from the most dire conditions and give them freedom and hope, love and most of all, a new LIFE! I donate at the ARC Angel level, which is every month so that they can have the sustaining funds they need when a situation arises that needs them most. They go all over the country and even into Canada and photograph and video every disgusting, dreadful rescue of matted, dying, starving, neglected animals as people need to be aware what is happening on the dark side of puppy breeding! Luve them and all they do.
