Mission: The Animal Protection League serves seven counties in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. The APL currently operates a pet adoption referral network, a spay/neuter assistance program, a community education program, and an emergency foster home system for homeless and unwanted pets. The all- volunteer, 300-member organization has grown at a 20% rate each year since its inception in 1991. More than 600 pets each year find loving, lifelong homes through APL programs. In addition, more than 400 animals are spayed or neutered with APL assistance.
