Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: Animal Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, which finds euthanasia to be an unacceptable fate for adoptable dogs and cats in animal shelters, who will lose their life due to pet overpopulation. Animal Alliance places animals removed from shelters into temporary foster care where they are rehabilitated, spayed/neutered, restored to health, and readied for a speedy adoption. Animal Alliance focuses its efforts on injured animals, and victims of cruelty and neglect. Through its Planned Pethood Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic, Animal Alliance offers spay/neuter community outreach services to substantially reduce pet overpopulation. Its Robert W. Curts Memorial Pet Adoption Center offers pets for adoption in a retail-like setting to encourage pet adoption among those who might not ordinarily visit a traditional animal shelter, and to increase the visibility and accessibility of rescued animals for adoption. www.animalalliancenj.org

Results: Since 2002, Animal Alliance has rescued, rehabilitated and adopted over 6,000 animals. In the 5 years since we opened Planned Pethood, we have spayed/neutered over 12,000 animals and provided vaccines to thousands more.

Target demographics: stray, injured, neglected and abandoned pets

Direct beneficiaries per year: over 400 hundred animals

Geographic areas served: Greater Philadelphia area

Programs: rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption

The executive director/trustee board member of Animal Alliance recently obtained a dog across state borders unlawfully. She communicated this via social media. She has a fiduciary responsibility to the public to follow local, state and federal laws. She has made threats via social media involving a dog whose ownership is in question. The unprofessionalism of this executive director is inexcusable.

I was first introduced to Animal Alliance when I found my Jack Russell, Tater, through them. They were professional and really forward-thinking about how great adoption is...but also that we can't adopt our way out of the pet over-population problem. It's that combo of great compassion for rescuing and finding loving homes for the most horribly abused and neglected animals -- combined with a very businesslike and frugal approach to finances -- that makes them the primary recipient of my donated time and money. AA has a low-cost spay/neuter center, and recently opened a brand-new storefront adoption center to help showcase our amazing adoptees. Now we have TWO dogs from AA, and we love being involved with their amazing work.

I have been involved with Animal Alliance for over 10 years: adopted two dogs, foster parent to puppies, volunteer in our clinic and board member.
Animal Alliance is known in our community for rescuing animals from perilous situations and providing low cost spay/neuter and wellness services. Many of the animals at Animal Alliance are victims of cruelty and neglect and arrive at our doorsteps injured, ill or emaciated.
We have a spay/neuter clinic and a new adoption center in Lambertville, NJ.
All donations go directly to the care and well being of the animals. We are a volunteer organization that has been in the Lambetville area for over 10 years.
If you are in the neighborhood, please stop by our adoption center and say 'hello'.

Animal Alliance is an amazing group of volunteers dedicated to the cause of rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. As a volunteer and current Board Member, I HIGHLY recommend Animal Alliance. As a result of this group's tireless efforts over 11+ years, there are countless heartwarming success stories!
